Our Cultural Awareness Training Programme built for a variety of sectors. In offering training alongside facilitators from bme groups, Zenofilya is able to provide an environment where issues and ideas about ethnicity can be explored openly.
Hikmat is a delivery partner of Healthwatch Devon, gathering bme feedback on health and social care services in Devon.
Offering professional advice to various sectors on topics and policies covering equality, inclusion, and discrimination.
We also have Service Users represented on many governance boards to raise issues, feedback and contribute to service design.
This is offered through:
Groups: We have activity groups who meet regularly across Devon, these cover a range of activities including badminton, carrom, gentle & high impact exercise, walking, & gardening.
1 to 1: We offer 1 to 1 work with individuals; support depends on needs, but may include goal planning, signposting, & training. Our staff speak a variety of languages.
Users will be invited and included on trips, events, training and cultural celebrations. We work closely with local colleges.
A service based in Exeter, offering a weekly session for the Chinese community, fortnightly sessions for Muslim Men and Monthly Ladies only workshops.
We can offer up to 10 free counselling sessions for those from black and ethnic minority backgrounds. Sessions are held in Exeter with a qualified Counsellor.
Working through Devon Carers, we offer a support service for Carers from ethnic minority backgrounds. The service includes 1:1 support, assistance accessing services available to them, Benefit Advice, access to Network Groups, and Training.
Our Footcare Service provides nail cutting to those with a disability and/or older persons who are unable to manage their own personal foot care. Our nail cutters are trained by the NHS.
